Virtual reality for rehabilitation

"The use of H'ability at our facility has enabled us to exploit new approaches to rehabilitation. It's a solution that enables us to spend more time working on the patient's body, with less discomfort. The immersive headset enables us to put a person suffering from low back pain or an elderly patient into a real-life situation, in order to anchor the knowledge acquired during rehabilitation. Working on the proprioception of a pro athlete in a fun and stimulating way is also an asset. Distracting pain during difficult mobilizations is another important aspect of our sessions.

"We use H'ability at the Capucins center with both adult and child patients. It is a fun way to involve patients in their rehabilitation. They like the games, they are immersive and allow them to work on meaningful activities (supermarket, diving, music...). Once the session is programmed, the patient can work independently, it is intuitive. A visual feedback allows to see live the patient's session. We have seen people with pain mobilize their limbs, whereas they did not do so outside of virtual reality: we will therefore integrate it into the rehabilitation program. It is also very interesting for patients with trauma or neurological sequelae. We are very pleased with this system and look forward to seeing it evolve.

"I had an extraordinary experience with an IP with major cognitive problems (the patient hadn't kissed her daughter in 1 year) and after visiting the educational farm, where she was looking right and left, she kissed her daughter... I also have a patient with Charcot's disease and at the end of the session once a week, he does boxing (it gets him off his feet) and I take him on a trip to the beach, paragliding... He loves it and his smile is a great reward! I never regret my investment!
