Virtual reality rehabilitation at your fingertips

"We use H'ability at the Capucins center with both adult and child patients. It's a fun way of involving patients in their rehabilitation. They like the games, which are immersive and enable them to work on meaningful activities (supermarket, diving, music, etc.). Once the session has been programmed, the patient can work independently - it's intuitive. Visual feedback lets you see the patient's session live. We've seen people in pain mobilize their limbs, when they weren't doing so outside virtual reality: so we're going to integrate it into the rehabilitation program. It's also very interesting for patients with trauma or neurological sequelae. We're very pleased with the system and look forward to seeing it evolve.

"I had an extraordinary experience with an IP with major cognitive problems (the patient hadn't kissed her daughter in 1 year) and after visiting the educational farm, where she was looking right and left, she kissed her daughter... I also have a patient with Charcot's disease and at the end of the session once a week, he does boxing (it gets him off his feet) and I take him on a trip to the beach, paragliding... He loves it and his smile is a great reward! I don't regret my investment in any way, I just regret not having enough time to make the most of it!
